ENTERTAINMENT ASSOCIATES PROGRAM

The NBC Universal Entertainment Associate Leadership Program is a highly competitive program focused on developing top creative and leadership talent through key job assignments and formal classroom training. Successful graduates of the program have progressed within NBC Universal in roles of increasing responsibility as Programming Executives.

PROGRAM SUMMARY

Hands-on experience may include the development and/or management of scripted or unscripted TV programming. Entertainment Associates will be involved in analyzing/developing show concepts and pitches; provide creative input to executives and producers on pitches, show ideas, and talent casting; and attend development meetings, pitches, various internal department meetings, set visits. Will also track competitive information, communicate with the creative community (agents, producers) as well as help maintain producer and talent lists.

Entertainment Associates may be assigned to any of NBC Universal's Entertainment Television Broadcast or Cable Networks such as NBC, USA, Syfy, Bravo, Oxygen, and Telemundo located in New York City, Burbank, Universal City or Miami.

Entertainment Associates will be on program for up to 2 years.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 2 years creative experience
  • Bachelor's and/or an advanced degree in an applicable field (e.g. journalism, Television/Film, Media Studies, digital media, etc.) or equivalent 4 years business experience required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in the scripted or non-scripted TV industry (network, production company or agency)
  • Demonstrated creative abilities; excellent communications skills
  • Leadership skills as demonstrated in work or extra-curricular activity
  • Business acumen
  • Passion for and knowledge of Television landscape, network brands and the creative community
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast paced, dynamic, high-pressure environment

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States through September 2013
  • Must be willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice
