EARLY CAREER PROGRAMS
TALLER TELEMUNDO (TELEMUNDO WORKSHOP)
Taller Telemundo (Telemundo Workshop) is an innovative educational program designed to inspire, discover, and train aspiring artists for the television industry. The writer's, and now actor's, programs provide hands-on experience in an academic environment, tuition-free, to students who want to hone their craft in a TV environment that appeals to a diverse Spanish-speaking audience nationwide.
The challenging and highly competitive initiative Taller Telemundo: Escritores was launched in Miami in March 2005, offering an innovative 10-month course for aspiring telenovela writers. In 2006, a six-month course offering groundbreaking Digital Storytelling techniques was introduced - and in 2007, the program expanded to the West Coast, offering a new group of LA-based students a unique opportunity to develop the skills necessary for writers of Fiction in TV and Digital Media.
In September 2007, Telemundo partnered once again with an educational institution to expand to another artistic discipline: acting. Taller Telemundo: Actores launched under the direction of Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee, Adriana Barraza.
