Why is NBCU a great place to work?

NBCU is a very fun and exciting place to work. It's TV, Film, Parks, Digital Media - what's not to like? NBCU is a part of our lives providing news and entertainment. I consume it and it consumes me everyday. There is always something new taking place and the best part is that you can show and tell your friends and family what you are working on.

Why do you work here and why do you stay?

I work here because I see a lot of career opportunities, which is especially important for me because I am still figuring out what I want to be when I “grow up.” NBCU/GE gives you the opportunity to “get your hands dirty,” work on real/tangible projects, learn to never stop learning, and grow as a professional.

I stay here due to the very dynamic work place. I feel like everyday really is a new day. Projects and responsibilities change rapidly and work never gets stale. There is always something new in the pipeline, new initiatives, organizational changes, etc. Lots of change equals lots of opportunity.

Why should other talented people want to work for NBCU? What attracts the best and brightest to our company?

At NBCU, there is truly something here for everyone. There are a lot of bright and hard working people who care about their jobs. NBCU strives to create and deliver great products and content. Input and new ideas from its employees are always welcomed to achieve this. NBCU is one of the media industry's leaders and together we do whatever it takes to meet this goal.

What does NBCU offer for their employees that you have utilized and that compliment your experience working here?

There are a lot of great benefits and opportunities that NBCU offers to its employees that I have personally taken full advantage of.

I started my career here as one of NBCU's first members of the Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) members. While on program I was able to work on projects that impacted the business in various areas of the company all over the United States. I also had several opportunities to take courses at the GE Learning Crotonville facility.

In addition to my great experience as an OMLP, I often spend my time being apart of the NBCU volunteers group and several of the networking and affinity groups. I enjoy being learning from the accomplished people we have in our company at the affinity group speaker or panel events, conferences, and social events. I value sharing experiences with my fellow coworkers, as we all have a lot to learn from each other. NBCU does a great job of providing these types of avenues for its employees.
