'TODAY' CONTINUES TO CLOSE RATINGS GAP WITH GMA
NEW YORK - October 2, 2014 - NBC's TODAY continues to gain momentum and post significant ratings growth. Year-to-date, TODAY has narrowed the total viewer gap with GMA by 9% versus the same period last year. For the week of September 29, TODAY gained 30k in total viewers while GMA declined a whopping 127k versus the prior week.
TODAY also grew 127k in total viewers and 62k in A25-54 versus its 3Q'14 average. TODAY ranks as the #1 morning news broadcast in A18-49 year-to-date.

-Last week, TODAY averaged 4.455 million total viewers, +41% (+1.291 million) more than CBS This Morning
-Last week, TODAY averaged 1.713 million A25-54 viewers, leading CBS by +69% (+698,000)
-Last week, TODAY's 1.4 A25-54 rating beat CBS by +75% (+6 tenths)
