Getting Down to Business

Because Jose is a very hands-on person, his days are underway before many people have even arrived for the day. By 8:00 a.m., Jose is already checking advertising inventory, analytics, and adjusting budgets for ad campaigns. Moving on, he fields sales pitches and brainstorms possible marketing angles and narratives. “Flexibility and creativity is key,” he shares.

He’s learned that you have to be flexible and let people be creative. “I allow my team to joke and laugh during meetings, it’s the best way to get the creative juices flowing. You get the best work when you allow people to be themselves,” says Jose.

By late afternoon, he speaks with scientists involved in development of a sci-fi production. Jose says, “We are focused on producing quality content and our attention to detail shows that.”

Keeping Current

By 5:00 p.m. he makes time to catch on up current events and trends to stay ahead of developing stories. According to Jose, “In this line of business, I need to be constantly aware of what’s going on around me and how that will impact my decisions.”
