DreamWorks Technology - Engineering Product Owner

We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about the user experience to be a technical Product Owner who sets the vision and strategy for tools that empower our creative teams. With a focus on product ownership, you will be conducting user research and supporting software development that reflects the voice of our internal users - animators, designers, and production staff - ensuring their needs are deeply understood and reflected in the tools and workflows we build. You will work closely with cross-functional technical teams to deliver intuitive, high-impact solutions that enhance creative productivity and collaboration. Responsibilities Software Design & Development Partner with technical leadership to validate feasibility of solutions. Draft low and high fidelity prototypes using tools like Figma. Ensure design consistency and usability across internal applications. Manage and maintain the DreamWorks design language system. Software Product Ownership Define and prioritize product backlogs based on user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality features. Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviews in an Agile environment. Requirements Development Conduct interviews, surveys, and observational studies with internal users to uncover pain points and opportunities. Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable product requirements. Build empathy-driven user personas and journey maps to guide product decisions. Internal Customer Advocacy Serve as the primary liaison between internal creative teams and the product development team. Facilitate feedback loops and ensure continuous alignment with user expectations. Champion a culture of user-centered design and iterative improvement.
