NBC Sports Bay Area & California - Finance Intern - Summer 2027

The Finance team at NBC Sports Bay Area/California supports the financial planning, reporting, and day-to-day business operations of the networks. As a Finance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience and partner with departments across the organization to support monthly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and other ad hoc projects to provide insights that support business decisions. A snapshot of your responsibilities: Assist the Senior Manager of Finance and the Regional Finance team with the preparation and maintenance of monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Perform variance analyses of actual financial results against estimates and help identify key drivers of variances. Assist with monthly and quarterly closing processes (e.g. calculate required accruals, post journal entries, and ensure all expenses are captured and stated properly) Partner with the Finance team to prepare and provide ad hoc financial analyses and special projects Work with large datasets in Excel to organize, analyze, and summarize financial information. Help maintain accurate and timely financial information and reporting. Gain exposure to the financial operations of a regional sports media business and how Finance partners with departments across the organization.
