This reporter will be responsible for writing about Wall Street analyst calls, big moves by big investors and financial market movements. The type of stories will include quick-hitting short stories on developments with macroeconomic factors, as well as how corporate earnings and other events are influencing markets. They will also be responsible for developing and writing multiple feature stories a year on big trends in investing and economics. Candidates must be self-motivated with a passion for writing about Wall Street, investing and markets.

The Sr. Analyst / Analyst, HR Operations – Core HR will report to the Director, HR Operations – Core HR and will be responsible for reviewing workflow requests and inputting organizational level and employee personal data information into the HR database. Oversee the controllership activities for TV Networks revenues and non-programming expenses. Oversee that all transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles and SOX controls. Partner as trusted advisor to the TV Networks finance organization on issues concerning reporting and controls, and assist with the formulation of financial and operational policy matters. Participate in monthly/quarterly closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial information.
Responsible for key operational controllership processes related to participations and residuals, including production of participant statements, ensuring timely processing of payments, establishing and reviewing reserves and management of the audit process. Work closely with TV Networks operational finance and legal to ensure clear understanding of contractual requirements and relevant production and monetization activities. Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, ensure all necessary required adjustments and true ups are reflected in the ledger accurately and timely.

The Vice President will serve as an integral business partner in the operational accounting aspects of the SpinCo TV Networks’ business units. The Vice President reports to the Chief Accounting Officer, SpinCo and acts as a key advisor to finance leadership on all accounting matters. This role partners with business unit counterparts on all operational accounting processes, monthly and quarterly close coordination, reporting and the assessment and validation of internal control activities.
