Role Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst, TV Networks will report to the Senior Manager and provide critical financial support across MSNBC, CNBC, Golf Channel, USA, E!, SYFY, and Oxygen. This role is instrumental in driving accurate forecasting, insightful reporting, and strategic analysis of subscriber revenue. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a keen attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to support decision-making across the networks.

Position Overview: The Senior Accountant, Programming Accounting will serve as key member of the Controllership Group within the TV Networks Group at Versant Media. The TV Networks Group includes the best brands in the industry, including MSNBC, CNBC, E!, Oxygen, SyFy, USA Network and various sports properties that air on these networks. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to learn about the entertainment businesses and be a change agent. The position will report to the Manager, Programming Accounting and will work closely with finance leadership across the group.

What You'll Do: Oversee the controllership activities for TV Networks programming and production costs, including licensed and owned content, as well as live sports and news production. Oversee that all transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles and SOX controls. Partner as trusted advisor to the TV Networks finance organization on issues concerning reporting and controls, and assist with the formulation of financial and operational policy matters.

Responsibilities: Oversee period end financial close process, partnering with financial reporting and functional Controllership teams to ensure system consolidation and financial transactions are properly recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles and SOX controls. Responsible for financial data included in quarterly financial reports filed with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, partnering closely with External Reporting and Investor Relations teams in carrying out disclosure controls and procedures.

Senior Financial Analyst, MSNBC Newsgathering Finance OVERVIEW This key role is the main finance partner for the new MSNBC Newsgathering organization, a major strategic initiative already underway as the Versant brands prepare for the upcoming spin from NBCUniversal. This role is responsible for building partnerships with the Newsgathering leadership team to address day to day priorities, execute on special projects, and to contribute to conversations on new ideas.

OVERVIEW This key role leads the finance support for the core programming of CNBC, the world leader in business news. This role is responsible for building strategic partnerships with editorial leadership to address day to day priorities and to drive conversations on new ideas. There will be significant collaboration with HR and finance peers to build informed financial plans and to lead key initiatives.

Responsible for key operational controllership processes related to participations and residuals, including production of participant statements, ensuring timely processing of payments, establishing and reviewing reserves and management of the audit process. Work closely with TV Networks operational finance and legal to ensure clear understanding of contractual requirements and relevant production and monetization activities. Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, ensure all necessary required adjustments and true ups are reflected in the ledger accurately and timely.

Key member of the TV Networks controllership team in support of finance organization on issues concerning reporting and controls. Participate in monthly/quarterly closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial information.
