"What would you say you do here?” Gain knowledge on the role of the Training Department in the studio and an understanding of the training workflow for TV, Overhead, and Feature Departments (Animation, Effects, Surfacing, Matte Painting, etc). Supervise virtual, hybrid, and onsite classes, track attendance, including data entry and Excel database maintenance, and record various classes with screen capture software. Edit recorded classes in Adobe Premiere. Tackle administrative tasks and design posters to promote training classes as needed.

Responsible for taking shots to completion. Works well with others and fosters a good working atmosphere. Troubleshoots creative and technical issues as they arise. As needed, organizes and documents any lighting tools, scripts, or processes. Collaborates with other departments for timely integration of elements into assigned shots. Manages individual shot load based on the schedule to meet timelines.

“What would you say you do here?” For feature animated films, Visual Development artists imagine and propose ideas for what the animated world should look like based on the story, characters, and action. They use reference, illustration, drawing, design skills and animation and 3D tools like Maya to build visuals that convey ideas about how they envision the look of the world. The goal of the internship is to experience visual development in a production environment over the span of 10 weeks.
