The majority of internships are in-person/hybrid working from an NBCUniversal office. There may be fully virtual opportunities available depending on business needs. Please read each job description carefully and take note of the internship location before applying.

Yes! All of NBCUniversal’s Internships are paid.

The internship program length varies from 3 to 8 months. During this time Interns receive training, gain practical experience, and receive exposure to industry leaders through our exclusive Intern events. Internships are full-time in the Summer (June - August) and part time throughout the Academic Year (September – April).

If, after reviewing your application, a recruiter would like to learn more about your candidacy, you will be invited to participate in a recorded video interview or a brief phone interview. From there, our recruiters will work with our intern supervisors across the company to continue considering candidates in the process for our available internships. The final stage of recruitment typically involves an interview with the intern supervisors for a specific team or department. Along the way, you can count on status updates from your Early Career Recruiter.

NBCUniversal will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States. For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship. 

We look for unique individuals from different backgrounds with a strong passion to work in the media industry. Aside from our basic qualifications, we also look at previous work and internship experiences, involvement in school and extra-curricular activities.

We seek candidates who are pursuing an associate, bachelors, or graduate degree at an accredited institution with a class standing of sophomore or above (at least 30 credits). Students must provide verification of school enrollment. Candidates must also be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States. If an internship requires a minimum cumulative GPA, it will be noted in the job description.
