The ideal candidate will be responsible for working in a duopoly environment, coordinating the teams around news stories, as well as reporter and field crew resources. Providing status of coverage to management will be critical, as well as establishing a network of contacts and sources across the New York DMA. NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 San Diego seek a part-time Reporter (production employee platform.) You will be reporting for an estimated 20 hours a week for the Telemundo and NBC newscasts. The schedule will depend upon need and could include early morning, nights, holidays and/or weekends. This position has a start and end date of July 2026-January 2026 Cover all news stories as assigned by the News Department. Produce original content for Digital Platforms. Report the facts on station’s news program on tape, digitally and/or live, either in the studio or on location.

The Digital Media Producer plays a major role in the day-to-day execution of NBC 7 and Telemundo 20’s digital news strategy, working with other local digital staff to ensure the offering is consistently up-to-the-minute, differentiated, impactful and relevant to a multiplatform audience.
