As an Assignment Desk Editor at NBC 5/T39, you will interact with a wide variety of people across Dallas-Fort Worth gathering story ideas, organizing information, and setting up interviews.

The Editor will be responsible for editing content across various sports programs, including both long-form and short-form formats. This includes weekly studio-based programs, live news, digital content, and remote programs such as teases, highlights, packages, voiceovers, and sound on tape. Given the time-sensitive nature of the assignments, the role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to make prompt, well-informed decisions. The Editor reports to the Director of Post Production and should be comfortable working independently when required.

This role reports firsthand information of news events national and international. The news correspondent provides to the audience context, analysis, and different perspectives.
