Role Overview: We are seeking a collaborative and strategic Director of Internal Communications to join our Corporate Communications team. Supporting the SVP, Internal Communications, this individual will help inform, engage and connect employees to our story and culture at NBCUniversal. They will provide strategy and execution for employee messaging, content, campaigns and activations that bring company priorities to life and highlight the unique benefits and experience of working at a company like NBCU.

NBCU Local is reimagining storytelling for the next generation of local news watchers, delivering local content to English and Spanish-speaking audiences in 31 U.S. TV markets and Puerto Rico. We are comprised of NBC Owned Television Stations, NBC Sports Regional Networks and Telemundo Station Group – plus multicast networks COZI TV and TeleXitos, regional cable news network NECN, and 16 free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels – including 11 NBC local news, four Telemundo regional news channels.

You will develop and drive people strategies for Japan, covering multiple businesses including Content Group, TVD, UP&E in Japan. You will partner closely with key executives to cultivate an inclusive, positive, and productive workplace culture; identify, develop and retain talents; create and implement local employee experiences and learning & development initiatives. You will develop and maintain a strong relationship with partners in talent acquisition, executive search, compensation & benefits, employment law, etc. to drive high quality HR services delivery to business.

Key Responsibilities Production Development/production work: Providing business affairs advice on all aspects of scripted drama and anime developments and productions. Negotiating, drafting and advising on a full range of development and production agreements including in relation to writers, onscreen talent, other key production personnel etc. Ensuring that all production activities are in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all territories and with the company's compliance policies and best practice procedures.

Reporting to the EVP, Content Strategy, this key role in the Universal Television Entertainment Group is responsible for managing the entertainment content lifecycle management process, including Greenlight, for NBC, Bravo, and Peacock. This role also has a dotted line into the CFO, UTEG Finance.
