NBC News is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Assignment Editor to work in the Southern Region. Responsibilities: Coordinate coverage of news stories (breaking and ongoing) with staff, including producers, correspondents, platform partners and others. Monitor story opportunities in the Southern region and communicate those opportunities with managers, teams and platforms. Collaborate effectively with the broadcast news shows, NBC News Now, Digital, NewsChannel and the affiliates. Coordinate the gathering and distribution of elements for all the platforms.

We are looking for a bright, proactive and ambitious Associate Reporter to be a part of the NBC News Social Newsgathering Team. This candidate will be tasked with finding and verifying visual content and information online to support storytelling across all NBC News platforms.  The ideal candidate should have a passion for news and knowledge of social media platforms, as well as interviewing and reporting skills.
