San Diego Station (NBC 7/T20) Digital Internship - Fall 2026

NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 San Diego internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry. Internships at NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 are paid and do not require course credit. We are seeking a highly motivated intern to work with our NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 digital team. This role will involve assisting in writing, editing, social media curation, and the overall production of daily content for our website and app. This internship will help you develop your writing and editing skills, enhance your editorial judgment, provide real-world newsroom experience, and aid in building practical skills with CMS and web publishing programs. Responsibilities: Contribute to our station’s digital content and social media accounts Pitch local story ideas/angles Write assigned stories Assist with phone/in-person interviews Edit video for various online platforms Publish stories to website from news services in addition to writing original content Cut videos from newscasts and publish to website and other platforms Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned Compensation: The hourly rate for this internship is $17.75 per hour.
