Platform Manager - NBC4 Washington

NBC4 in Washington, DC is looking for a Platform Manager/Newscast Producer. Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall editorial content on one or more platforms produced by WRC Serve as the primary line producer of assigned daily newscast Work with Content Producers to select the most compelling and relevant stories Work with the production team to ensure smooth and seamless productions Work with Daypart Managers and other Platform Managers to ensure the most complete local news coverage Work with digital team to incorporate social/mobile/digital content into newscast Play an active role in the editorial process and be an advocate for nbcwashington.com and other digital apps/platforms Responsible for writing, producing, desktop editing and gathering content for all platforms Responsible for effectively managing a pool of content producers, coaching and mentoring as needed Ensure fairness, accuracy and balance in stories This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
