Newscast Producer/Platform Manager - NBC Bay Area

In this role you will work closely with the executive producer, assignment desk, digital team and reporters to produce dynamic, high-impact content and newscasts. We are looking for a journalist with a multi-platform mindset who has impeccable writing, producing and digital skills with a creative vision to help us Move the Bay Area Forward. Bonus points if you have market knowledge. Characteristics: Strong news writing skills and the ability to edit, produce and gather content under heavy deadline pressure, without compromising accuracy or credibility Desire to be innovative and produce newscasts/stories in new and different ways and on different platforms Strong understanding of how to effectively utilize social media platforms to enhance storytelling and audience engagement Passion to research and develop stories on tight timelines Respond to breaking news with accuracy and urgency Invested and engaged in the local community while understanding how to represent the local viewer Collaborate across all levels, highly organized and can work well with digital editors, reporters, assignment editors, writers and other producers
