JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking an experienced solicitor to join our team in London on a permanent basis. The role involves close collaboration with other members of the Labour & Employment team to provide timely and practical advice to internal clients throughout the NBCUniversal portfolio of companies, including enterprise functions (e.g. Operations & Technology), Film/TV productions, News and the various distribution businesses.

This individual will partner with the team on strategic development and execution of the Company’s positive employee relations initiatives. Universal Studio Group is looking for a Counsel who will have the opportunity to support unscripted projects produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio and advise on complex first-run licensing deals for Universal Television Alternative Studio, Universal Television and Universal Content Productions as part of a dual unscripted/licensing team role.

Under general direction of the Legal & Business Affairs department, the Senior Attorney, Marketing is responsible for (1) drafting, negotiating and interpreting contracts, letter agreements and other legal documentation for advertising and marketing services and projects, digital services and media, social media and influencer marketing; and (2) reviewing marketing materials and managing regulatory, statutory, and contractual compliance requirements.

Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, drafting and negotiating primarily below-the-line agreements with exposure to above-the-line talent agreements. Acquisition and development agreements and all other below-the-line legal documents over the course of production, including but not limited to physical production-related agreements, such as location, lease and vendor agreements. Ability to interpret contracts in an accurate and efficient manner and provide timely and thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues.
