Role Purpose: NBCUniversal is looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized, and highly efficient individual to work within the legal department of Universal Television Entertainment, as part of a team focused on development- and production-related agreements and adjacent issues. Reporting to the Director, Production Contracts, this role will draft and negotiate certain above-the-line talent agreements (with attorney supervision) and handle related issues in connection with world-class broadcast, streaming and cable television programs.

Role Purpose: The Contracts Specialist resides in the Intellectual Property (IP) Innovation, Technology, and Policy team, which provides strategic legal and policy counsel to NBCUniversal divisions worldwide on disruptive technologies, and negotiates transactions that leverage AI and other new technologies. Working closely with the team’s lawyers and administrative staff, the Contracts Specialist will support a wide range of matters relating to the drafting, negotiation, and oversight of agreements, including NDAs, AI-related agreements, IP licenses, and similar contracts.

Job Description This position is on the Business & Legal Affairs team responsible for providing business and legal support for Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E). Universal Products & Experiences handles the licensing of NBCU film and television properties for merchandising, publishing, video games, digital and interactive uses, and commercial tie-ins/promotions. This role primarily focuses on rights research and analysis as well as supporting different groups within Universal Products & Experiences with drafting legal agreements.

Position Summary The Assistant Director of Legal & Business Affairs, Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX), is responsible for leading and overseeing compliance with all planning and development approvals, statutory and non‑statutory consents, and government agreements required. This role provides strategic direction across the full compliance lifecycle, including the tracking and analysis of obligations within the consents register, proactive risk escalation, and the preparation of clear, timely reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders.

Position Summary The Senior Manager of Development Licensing & Compliance leads the end‑to‑end process for securing all statutory and non‑statutory approvals, licenses, permits, consents, and planning permissions required. Working under the supervision of the Director and Vice President of Legal & Business Affairs, the role oversees the team coordinating submissions, managing complex approval pathways, and maintaining the comprehensive consents register.

Role Purpose: Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Legal Operations & Innovation, the E-Billing Coordinator supports the day-to-day financial operations of the Legal Department with a focus on external legal spend, reporting, and analysis. The role serves as a primary liaison between outside counsel, Finance, and internal stakeholders across NBCU’s US and international offices, combining strong interpersonal skills with quantitative expertise to manage, audit, and optimize legal billing processes.

Assist attorneys for Universal Destinations & Experiences with review of a wide range of marketing and advertising collateral across all channels, including marketing toolkits, press releases, websites, mobile applications, and social media content to ensure compliance with FTC and marketing laws, trademarks, rights of privacy/rights of publicity, intellectual property license agreements, and corporate guidelines. Review scripts and storyboards for social media, radio and television commercials.
