Job Description The Legal Assistant for Karamo supports the Legal and Production teams in managing all guest, staff, and production-related documentation to ensure each episode is legally compliant and production-ready. This role is essential in maintaining the accuracy, organization, and efficiency of the legal workflow for a fast-paced daily talk show. This is a Stamford, CT–based position and requires on-site presence during tape weeks.

The Legal Records Clerk (LRC) is responsible for identifying, classifying, and storing electronic and physical paper records. The LRC must also retrieve records for use by attorneys and researchers at NBC/Universal. The Legal Records Management Department observes a strict process of privacy and data protection of our organization’s records which the LRC must adhere to. The LRC must identify and transfer (via pdf) legal contracts to the Electronic Legal Filing system which can then be accessed by approved users.

JOB SUMMARY Drafts, reviews, analyses, negotiates and processes contracts and related documents for all facility construction, A&E design, consultant, and similar services using the NEC and JCT library of contracts and other bespoke forms of agreement to ensure accuracy for operational/project teams in accordance with the contracts policies and procedures and all applicable Universal Creative systems. Work in conjunction with Legal, Risk Management, Project Management (PMO) and Finance departments.

Role Purpose NBCUniversal is looking for a Paralegal to support the Privacy Legal team. The team works with internal business units and enterprise clients to develop data collection and processing strategies that align with both global legal requirements and business goals. We are seeking a candidate to coordinate with the Privacy lawyers and collaborate with clients across NBCUniversal’s portfolio of companies, including marketing, advertising, product and technology, operations, HR, and film and TV productions.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Development: Drafting option/purchase agreements (and option/quitclaim agreements), option extension letters/amendments, writer agreements, director agreements, producer agreements, copyright assignment agreements, novation agreements, turnaround letters, certificates of engagement, licence agreements, services agreements, publisher’s quitclaims, co-development and co-production agreements and acting agreements.

The Role Preferably based in Los Angeles, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years of music clearance and licensing experience preferably at a TV/Film studio or content studio, and with marketing teams. This role is ideal for a music professional who thrives in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. This candidate will need experience in music matters including but not limited to: music clearance, music licensing, music rights research, cue sheet reporting/management, drafting and reviewing music agreements, and potentially some creative.

The Role Preferably based in Los Angeles, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of music clearance, payments, contract administration, and tracking experience, preferably at a media company. This role is ideal for a music profession who thrives in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. This candidate will need cue sheet reporting, analysis and review along with knowledge of music licensing and clearance. This candidate brings a positive can do attitude to the role, and a self-starter.
