This is a one-year, part-time Digital Media Producer position. You will be required to create and produce news content for broadcast or digital platforms based on daily newsroom needs. This role requires strong editorial judgment, adaptability, and the ability to deliver accurate, compelling content under deadline. This role will be an hourly position for roughly 20 hours a week from August 2026-August 2027.

NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 San Diego internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry. Internships at NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 are paid and do not require course credit. We are seeking a highly motivated intern to work with our NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 digital team. This role will involve assisting in writing, editing, social media curation, and the overall production of daily content for our website and app.

The Digital Media Producer plays a major role in the day-to-day execution of NBC 7 and Telemundo 20’s digital news strategy, working with other local digital staff to ensure the offering is consistently up-to-the-minute, differentiated, impactful and relevant to a multiplatform audience. The role combines acute attention to detail, rapid response, strong editorial judgment, and consistent day-to-day execution and project-management responsibilities within a 24/7 newsgathering operation.
