NBCUniversal’s Intellectual Property Analytics, Operations, and Technology (IPAOT) team supports NBCUniversal’s content globally with four key areas: (1) developing more secure and scalable frameworks for Internet-based video distribution, (2) improving security technologies and processes in content production and distribution, (3) addressing voluminous copyright infringements on websites, apps and protocols, and (4) analyzing data to measure and understand the drivers of unlicensed video consumption on the Internet.

Responsibilities: Identify and track policy activity across the country Monitor political and legislative developments in key local jurisdictions Provide logistical support for public affairs and political engagement on the Universal Lot Support the Government Affairs team’s efforts around upcoming mega events for NBCUniversal Operational support to the LA team Assist with team projects and research, as needed

The NBCUniversal News legal team supports NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, E! News, NBCU Local and Telemundo Network. The editorial lawyers work closely with journalists and editorial leadership to provide timely, practical, and strategic advice in support of our journalism and growing news business. Based in Miami, Telemundo produces and distributes premium Spanish-language news content to U.S. Hispanics and audiences around the world. Its flagship nightly news program is Noticias Telemundo. Telemundo Stations Group consists of 30 local television stations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Reporting to VP, Labor Relations, the person in this role will provide strategic advice and counsel to internal clients regarding single employer and industry-wide collective bargaining agreements and the National Labor Relations Act, and represent the Company in collective bargaining agreement negotiations. The role will also handle and provide counsel on labor grievances and arbitrations, National Labor Relations Board matters, and other related litigation for the Company.
