Manager, Emergency Management Services - UK Project
Job Summary Responsible for the management and delivery of Emergency Planning, Incident Response, and Business Continuity programs across the resort. Leads day-to-day emergency management operations, including coordination of incident response, training, and preparedness activities. Ensure operational readiness through effective planning, communication, and collaboration with internal departments and external emergency services. Supports the resilience of the resort by maintaining robust emergency plans, facilitating exercises, and ensuring alignment with UK regulatory frameworks and multi-agency response principles. Major Responsibilities Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Emergency Plans, Severe Weather Plans, and Business Continuity Plans across the resort. Ensure plans are consistent, practical, and aligned to recognised standards and organisational requirements. Support departments in identifying risks, critical functions, and recovery strategies. Assists with Incident Command during emergencies, supporting the coordination of response activities across the resort. Support activation and operation of the Crisis Management Centre and ensure effective communication with operational teams and leadership. Ensure incidents are managed in line with recognised command structures (e.g. Gold/Silver/Bronze). Oversee the operational readiness of the Security Command Centre, ensuring effective handling of emergency communications, alarms, and incident notifications. Maintain emergency contact systems and support timely escalation and information flow across the organisation. Develop and deliver emergency management training for operational leaders, duty managers, and team members. Plan and coordinate exercises including drills, simulations, and multi-agency scenarios to validate preparedness and improve response capability. Directly manage and develop the Command Centre team (e.g., dispatchers and/or leadership roles), including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Establish and enforce departmental policies and procedures, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure high standards of team member and guest satisfaction. Build and maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders including emergency services, local authorities, and Local Resilience Forums (LRFs). Participate in joint planning and exercises to ensure alignment with local emergency response arrangements. Support post-incident reviews, audits, and assurance activities. Identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of emergency management and resilience programs. Ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation and organisational policies. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
