Senior Designer, Platform Design
About the Role Our Platform Design team creates the imagery that defines how our services look and feel — the visual merchandising graphics that represent every title, tentpole, and live event across Entertainment, Sports, Live Events, Editorial, and Partner Channels. Peacock is the center of gravity, but the work spans the NBCUniversal portfolio: NBC, Bravo, NBC Sports, Telemundo, and the Olympics. We're looking for a Senior Designer with exceptional taste and deep production fluency to join us at a pivotal moment, as we scale our output across one of the busiest content slates in streaming. This is high-volume production design held to a bespoke standard of craft. Most days you're delivering high-quality work at scale against real deadlines; when a tentpole launch calls for hero imagery, you deliver that too. The work ships to millions of screens, and your taste, judgment, and creative confidence matter as much as the pixels. This is a deeply hands-on design role for one of the best designers in the room. You'll spend the majority of your time creating, refining, adapting, and shipping work yourself — bringing a refined point of view to every asset, and leading through the work itself. What You'll Do Design and produce best-in-class visual merchandising imagery across the portfolio — from bespoke key art adaptation for tentpoles and originals to high-volume production design that supports thousands of assets across our platforms. Bring exceptional typography, composition, layout, and image-making to everything you touch. You retouch, adapt, and extend art with precision, and your work tells the story of a title in a single frame. Exercise sharp merchandising instincts: you understand what makes imagery emotionally resonant and commercially effective — what creates desire, engagement, and clarity — and you identify the strongest visual direction quickly, without needing excessive oversight or endless rounds. Make confident creative decisions under pressure — you're trusted with the difficult calls, your judgment shows in the first pass, not just the final one, and you can articulate the "why" behind every choice. Adapt and extend templates, toolkits, and design systems to deliver at scale without letting quality or consistency slip. You treat the system as a craft surface, not a constraint. Own your work end to end, from briefing through delivery: concept development, review cycles, approvals, stakeholder communication, and publishing readiness. You own outcomes, not files. Thrive in fast-moving sports and live-event environments — compressed timelines, changing requirements, athlete swaps, playoff scenarios, and last-minute updates are the job, not the exception. Execute with precision within established design systems and brand guidelines. When direction is ambiguous or quality is at risk, you speak up: you ask sharp questions, flag risks early, and push for clarity rather than guessing. Partner directly with Studios, Integrated Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Editorial — managing feedback, navigating approvals, and earning stakeholder trust through the strength and reliability of your work. Work confidently with rights-sensitive imagery: you understand that talent, league, and partner requirements shape what ships, and you build approval realities into how you work rather than treating them as surprises. Partner closely with Platform Operations, the editorial team that programs and publishes our work, so your imagery is delivered, scheduled, and shipped seamlessly. Be a reference point for quality: your craft, judgment, and consistency become examples others look to when calibrating excellence. Own your workflow and contribute to scalable production pipelines — including automation and AI-assisted production — exploring directions rapidly, iterating with intention, and spending your judgment on the craft decisions that matter.
