Manager, EHS - NBC Sports

As the Manager of Environment, Health & Safety, you will primarily support the NBC Sports Stamford & Monroe facilities and support domestic and international Remote Events. You will support the broader EHS department management, and production teams, as assigned, to ensure compliance with all NBCUniversal, federal, state, local and/or international environmental, occupational safety and health policies, rules and regulations as applicable. Support is provided via regular on-site attendance at each location as well as remotely from Stamford, CT. Responsibilities: Support the EHS team in the management of Gensuite as it relates to inspections, compliance calendar, incidents/near misses, action items, etc. ensuring that everything is properly tracked and closed out. Provide support during investigations of accidents, incidents, significant events and emergencies promptly in accordance with company policies and/or applicable laws and regulations. Including, but not limited to: track, review and analyze all injuries/illnesses and accident investigations for each production to determine trends, root cause, regulatory compliance & follow-up actions. Supports the EHS team in vendor management by familiarizing themselves with Avetta to ensure our vendors are compliant. Supports the EHS team in management of all EHS trainings, including job specific, for staff and freelance populations. At times requiring on-site presence for remote events. Manage AED inventory for Stamford & Monroe facilities and track locations of AEDs on our remotes. Ensure that ‘readiness checks’ are being completed and AED supplies are current. Provide EHS-related support both in-person and remotely to all locations, which will include domestic and international travel throughout the year. Partner with EHS leads to review production plans to identify potential EHS issues, e.g. hazardous conditions or locations, unusual activities, etc. Participate (on-site / in-person) in events, surveys, and production meetings, as needed, to understand scheduled production activities. Attend remote productions / events to provide input from the EHS perspective and be on-site when higher-risk activities may take place, as necessary. Partner with EHS leads on preparation and coordination of regularly scheduled audits and reviews. Meet deadlines on any action items resulting from audit and provide documentation supporting resolution. Develop materials and provide safety training to crew members, supervisors and management in safety awareness, safe work practices, documentation requirements and general regulatory compliance, as necessary. Work with EHS leaders to realize established short and long-term departmental EHS goals. Work with EHS leaders to ensure consistent application of NBCUniversal policies across all productions and evaluate whether these policies are effective. Actively participate in meetings and be prepared to discuss issues related to assigned events, shows and sites. Interface with outside regulatory agencies as required, e.g., Fire Department, Occupational Health & Safety (OSHA) representatives. Participate in the ongoing review of existing EHS programs and creation of new programs. Other responsibilities as assigned, which may include Ergonomics, Emergency Evacuation Drills, E-Waste, Aerial/Drone requests. Represent NBC Sports Group to external professional organizations, peers, and employees in a professional manner.
