Temporal Engineer

Responsibilities: • Design and integrate new and expansion upgrades into network devices that support IT and broadcast transmission infrastructure. • Apply basic project management principles and practices during project planning, implementation, monitoring, and completion to ensure effective management of scope, resources, time, cost, quality, risk, and communication. • Research and evaluate new and / or alternative solutions and technologies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs; define best practices and standards. • Design infrastructure solutions to meet needs. Applying the best design practices to meet the objectives of the assigned tasks or projects. Looking for an efficient engineering solution. • Be able to follow up on the technical budget, equipment orders and deliveries; schedule vendor support on site, as needed. Maintain a positive and productive relationship with suppliers. • Be prepared and have the disposition to install and configure any equipment included in the design of any project. Know about integration and configuration of devices, installation and updates of applications; with full operational capacity. • Solve problems; coordinate support for operational incidents, leading to problem resolution. • Being able to partner closely with Telemundo's production, IT, and operations engineering teams. As well as with the organization of the company to ensure that standardized practices, platforms and systems are leveraged when possible. • Evaluate and provide recommendations for general network requirements for performance availability, utilization, and reliability as it relates to IP media transport. • Communicate with department leadership regarding the status, responsibilities, and progress of mandated tasks and / or projects. • Inventory of equipment that is required (In use, not assigned or obsolete). • Be able to write basic manuals for users.
