Social Media Manager

The business is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Media Manager to join the marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media, live and breathe all things pop culture and reality TV, and a deep understanding of how to leverage editorial organic social content and platforms effectively to drive engagement, build brand love, affinity, and awareness, super-serving customers, reality TV fans, and increasing intent amongst prospects. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for overseeing the external agency tasked with executing the social media strategy, ensuring alignment with the business’ objectives and standards, managing content creation and publishing, analysing performance metrics, optimising the strategy, and staying abreast of the latest industry trends and innovation. Cross-collaboration and alignment with other internal teams, as well as internal briefing of content to an in-house creative team, are in scope for this role. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in organic social media management and a proven record of understanding and delivering against relevant brand KPIs. Additionally, experience or a genuine interest in reality TV content is highly desirable, to authentically connect with fans and tailor social media strategies to super-serve our audience. The perfect fit will be a creative and data-driven individual that backs their steps with facts and figures, whilst living outside of the box and having a working style focused on continuously outdoing themselves. Sitting within the performance marketing team, this position works with brand, customer service / support, PR, and paid media, to align its delivery and goals to wider marketing KPIs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Work with external social media agency to track delivery against social strategy, as well as developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies to achieve marketing objectives, including increasing brand love/affinity, brand awareness, and driving consideration among potential subscribers. Manage all social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, etc.) and ensure consistent brand messaging and tone of voice. Coordinating output from internal content team, and external agency to create engaging and compelling content, including copywriting, graphics, videos, and other multimedia assets, to captivate audiences and encourage user interaction. Leverage platforms and tools to schedule and publish content across various platforms, ensuring optimal timing and frequency for maximum reach and engagement. Monitor social media conversations, respond to comments and messages, and engage with followers to foster a sense of community and brand loyalty, leveraging these as opportunities for further content creation. Stay immersed in reality TV news and trends to inform content creation and strategy, demonstrating a deep passion for the genre and its audience. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., brand, acquisition) to develop integrated campaigns and initiatives that align with overall marketing goals. Work with internal analytics teams in the analysis of social media performance metrics, and derive actionable insights to optimise content strategies and campaign effectiveness. Manage the external agency responsible for executing elements of the social media strategy, ensuring deliverables are in line with our objectives, brand guidelines, and standards, conducting periodic reviews of performance to continuously adapt scope based on KPIs. Facilitate communication between the agency and internal stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms/tools, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
