Vice President, Data Engineering

Position Overview: As the leader of the data engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of robust data architecture and pipelines that support critical business decisions, analytics, and product development. This role is crucial in creating a connected data ecosystem that unleashes the power of our first party, third party and zero party data to drive innovation and growth. Combined with our strategic data platform, this data ecosystem is at the core of making intelligent customer and business decisions. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a high-performing data engineering team, setting clear objectives, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving team growth. Promote a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Develop and execute the strategic vision for data engineering, aligning with overall business objectives. Oversee the design, build, testing, scaling, and maintenance of data pipelines from various source systems and streams (internal, third-party, cloud-based, etc.), according to business and technical requirements. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various sources. Collaborate with data scientists and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization. Design and implement data models and structures that support analytics, business intelligence, and reporting needs, ensuring the efficiency and scalability of data systems. Drive innovation and adoption of new technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities, continuously optimizing and fine-tuning data pipelines for speed and scalability. Foster the growth of your team members through coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for technical development. Lead recruitment efforts to expand the data engineering team and build a diverse, talented workforce.
