Product Developer
The Product Developer will need to work with buyers, designers, and international business partners to strategize and execute product development within the agreed timeframe across UPR-owned or -affiliated destination entertainment venues (both US and international).This includes understanding or coordinating task related to product development, quality standard or delivery requirement set by different UPR-owned destination in accordance with regulations, Company’s brand standards and best practices. The role will also require the candidate to work with vendors and suppliers to recommend any changes to the current product development that will meet the affiliated destination product safety standards. Collaborate with Brand manager, buyers, creative and compliances team throughout the product development process. Responsibilities include tracking licensor update, identifying potential manufacturing challenges related to design or quality and ensure accurate materials and component selection for user experiences in mind. Assist the Senior Product Developer in identifying and onboarding new suppliers for global parks, while supporting merchandising tasks in line with company policies and relevant regulations. Work with Buyer / designers and suppliers to create initial concept to production stage leading to on time delivery. Handles product development including working with external vendors and factories on sample reviews. Understands and applies manufacturing and costing parameters to product. Ensures product design excellence by making character and product corrections during sampling, prototyping and address key issues and challenges in production/assembly and plans accordingly to deliver high-quality products. To participate in UPRGM produce development meeting or calls conducted in other time zones. Assist in identifying new market trends and innovations and contribute ideas to management and cross-functional teams. Coordinates with Manager/Senior Product Developer on new projects and scheduled deadlines. Limited travel for onsite product approval and trade shows. Undertake other ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as required.
