VP, Production, Alternative Programming

The VP, Production (UTAS) will manage and oversee production for unscripted programming reporting into the SVP, Production at Universal Television Alternative Studio. This role will partner with studio and network executives on the entire production process from budget through post. Essential Responsibilities: Plan and manage the physical production for UTAS pilots, sizzles, trailers and series Oversee on-set production employees to ensure best-in-class productions as well as drive efficiencies and economies of scale Act as main point of contact between the studio and creative teams for managing day-to-day details of production planning and logistics, including working with production companies on budgeting, calendar, crew, logistics & insurance and facilitating necessary approvals between BA, Production Legal, Marketing, Scheduling/Programming, Labor Relations & Publicity Work with, collaborate and communicate with Universal Television Alternative Studio, Network and 3rd Party executives and producers on all production and post-production plans Ability to manage several projects at once and travel to set locations as necessary Create and build new relationships, as well as maintain existing relationships with Production Companies, line producers and below-the line staff who work with or will work with Universal Television Alternative Studio
