RESPONSIBILITIES: Role Purpose & Responsibilities As a Counsel within NBCUniversal’s Latin America business, you will support the business on a wide-range of legal matters relating to the operation of NBCUniversal channels and services across Latin America with a focus on Argentine-related matters. Responsibilities Negotiate, draft, and interpret legal documents in the areas of finance as well as operations and technology. Manage and advise the business regarding corporate governance matters; including strategic transactions, governing documentation, intercompany service arrangements, local corporate filings, and powers of attorney. Provide timely regulatory legal advice, focusing on creative solutions to overcome challenges. Support the development of processes and templates designed to ensure the long-term efficiency of the legal function. Communicate effectively to internal clients to ensure efficient management of open matters, including organizing and leading meetings as necessary. Collaborate as needed with subject-matter experts; including outside counsel as well as NBCUniversal’s Corporate legal teams, including the Compliance, Tax, Corporate Secretary, Privacy, Cyber Security, and Litigation Teams. Inspire collaboration across the legal function by developing and maintaining relationships with relevant counterparts across the globe. Train and counsel the business on applicable policies and best practices; including approval processes, key contractual issues, and risk management. Provide support on any other matters that the business or legal function may need.
