Production Planner

The Production Planner is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of manufacturing operations, from scheduling and coordination to performance evaluation and continuous improvement. The Production Planner is responsible for developing and managing production schedules, budgets, aligning cross-functional teams, and optimizing resources to meet delivery timelines. Successful candidates will analyze specifications and capacity data to design efficient manufacturing sequences, prepare job plans and routing documents, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities: Develops and maintains detailed production schedules based on job orders, material availability, and shop capacity. Coordinate with machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, inventory, logistics, and quality teams to plan and adjust production requirements Analyze engineering drawings, customer specifications, and capacity data to determine appropriate manufacturing process sequences Prepares production and inspection job plans and routing documents. Monitor shop floor progress and adjust schedules to address engineering changes, material delays, equipment constraints, or urgent customer needs Prepare production status reports and present schedule performance, risks, and recovery plans to management Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely availability of raw materials, hardware, and outside services Ensures that the production process follows industry standards and safety regulations. Oversees inventory management and order materials and services as needed. Evaluate production performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process and scheduling improvements Supports job planning for annual rehabs as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
