Legal Counsel APAC

Universal Products & Experiences is seeking a talented, highly collaborative and experienced in-house commercial lawyer to partner with our Consumer Products businesses across APAC. As a part of the Business & Legal Affairs team, you will provide legal support and advice to category and creative teams across our Asia Pacific offices and work collaboratively with other legal teams in London and Los Angeles. The role will also focus on drafting and negotiating contracts related to consumer product licensing agreements, retail/marketing campaigns, design/asset creation and other services arrangements. Key Responsibilities Draft, negotiate, and manage a high volume of intellectual property licenses, service agreements, and other legal documents related to the licensing, distribution, promotion, and marketing of toys, apparel, books, and consumer goods. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including commercial category management, product development, creative, and finance. Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and internal corporate functions, including tax, compliance, intellectual property/trademark, privacy, and litigation. Prepare ad-hoc contracts and legal documents to address evolving business needs. Manage legal communications with external partners to facilitate deal closures and resolve outstanding issues efficiently. Assist in reviewing, refining, and updating legal templates and agreements as required. Take on additional legal and business projects as required.
