Project Manager - Hair & Makeup, MSNBC

The Hair & Make Up Project Manager is responsible for leading the Hair & Make up department for MSNBC, which is located in both our New York and DC locations. This role will manage the scheduling of the artists to ensure appropriate coverage and support is provided for our on-air talent and guests. Responsibilities: Monitor Production processes and facilitate schedule changes due to breaking news. Manage staff and freelance employees locally and DC bureau locations. Responsible for the recruiting, hiring and training of personnel. Provide production assistance for special network events or remote coverage Collaborate with marketing and communications team on special projects. Review daily broadcasts, track talent looks and produce daily guides when necessary. Monitor departmental budget. Responsible for payroll & vendor invoice along with other payment procedures. Prepares and processes P-card and expense reports in accordance with established travel policy guidelines; ensures the timely processing of expenses utilizing electronic processes for payment to Corporate credit card for the Hair Makeup departments Manage Talent and artist relationships Maintain “Pro Account” relationships and stay up to date with beauty trends
