Producer, MSNBC

The Producer is a key member of the network’s planning coverage team, helping to coordinate live production and tape of high-profile broadcasts across MSNBC platforms. This includes breaking news events, major political coverage, national ceremonies, award shows, and other significant live moments. The role requires a sharp editorial eye, strong storytelling abilities, and extensive experience producing video packages that support and elevate live broadcasts. Key Responsibilities: Strong skillset in producing high-profile interviews, location shoots, and event coverage tied to breaking or planned special events. Produce tape elements and obit packages for major political and news figures as well as live coverage plans for funerals. Contribute to overall show production including element production, live segment coordination, and control room execution when needed. Maintain close coordination with Director, senior producer, control room teams, digital platforms, and bureaus to ensure consistent messaging and tone. Assist in coverage planning, including scouting locations, vetting stories.
