Director, Residuals

We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Director, Residuals to lead our global residuals reporting function for both scripted and unscripted programs. This leadership role is essential to ensuring residuals compliance across all distribution platforms, overseeing payments, managing claims, and driving key departmental initiatives. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in contract analysis, risk mitigation, and process optimization, with a strong background in Guild reporting standards, financial oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with departments such as Labor Relations, Business Affairs, Production Finance, and Legal. Key Responsibilities: Financial Oversight & Reporting Lead day-to-day operations of the Residuals team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Plan, forecast, and initiate monthly and quarterly residual payments. Track and analyze department KPIs to ensure on-time setups, processing, and payments. Oversee responses to internal, external, SOX, and Guild audit requests. Liaise with audit teams and Guild representatives; escalate issues as needed. Create and refine tools and methodologies to drive efficiently. Support financial planning including Ultimates, cash pacing, cost estimates, and accruals. Process Optimization & Systems Enhancements Partner with IT and department leadership on system implementations and ERP upgrades. Lead efforts to test and enhance residuals systems and processes. Champion continuous improvement, leveraging automation and data analytics. Develop and manage training programs and materials to align with strategic goals. Cross-Functional Leadership Act as a strategic advisor to Financial Contract and Reporting group, FP&A, Controllership, Legal, Business Affairs, Labor Relations, Marketing, Production and other business groups at NBCUniversal. Ensure data integrity and optimization of financial systems. Provide strategic insights to support business initiatives and growth. Collaborate across departments to support contract alignment with evolving business models. People Management Direct, coach and train junior staff. Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team culture. Promote a culture of continuous learning, development, and operational excellence.
