Senior Producer, Breaking News Specials (Weekend)

The NBC News Breaking News Specials team seeks a seasoned Senior Producer to drive our weekend breaking-news coverage and contribute to Specials/Nightly News. You will lead editorial and operational execution when news breaks, ensuring broadcasts are fast, accurate, and compelling. Responsibilities: Lead live breaking-news coverage during major events Coordinate with control-room staff, on-air talent, and field reporters Make split-second editorial decisions that uphold accuracy and clarity Serve as the primary editorial lead for Saturday and Sunday coverage for NBC News Specials and NOW Contribute to Specials/Nightly News on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Collaborate with the Specials team on major-event planning and execution Partner with technical, graphics, audio, and talent departments to maintain top-tier production quality Produce live cut-ins, special segments, and additional content as needed
