Senior Graphic Designer (Broadcast)

MSNBC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Graphic Designer (Broadcast) to join our creative team. This role focuses on producing high-quality static graphics and motion graphics for daily television shows, elevating MSNBC’s on-air presence with creativity and precision. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced newsroom environment, demonstrates excellent design instincts, and brings advanced skills in broadcast motion design and animation, in addition to static graphics expertise. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver static and motion graphics for MSNBC programs, including lower-thirds, full-screen templates, charts, animations, and editorial visuals. Collaborate closely with producers, editorial staff, and art directors to develop creative solutions that maintain brand consistency while enhancing storytelling. Lead the execution of animated graphics packages and contribute to show branding elements. Adapt graphics and animations quickly in response to breaking news and live programming demands. Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on broadcast graphics workflows and standards. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality. Maintain organized files, templates, and toolkits to ensure efficient workflows. Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as news coverage requires.
