Senior Producer, Talent Development
NBCUniversal News Group is seeking a Senior Producer to lead, manage, and evolve a talent development program designed to support the growth, readiness, and excellence of our reporters, correspondents and anchors across all platforms. This includes skill advancement in writing, live reporting, breaking news, script tracking, studio presentation, and digital journalism. The ideal candidate is someone who has produced first-rate journalism both in the field and in the studio, with a proven record of strong editorial judgment and production excellence. This role will partner across NBCU News Group, including our Owned and Operated Stations; partner with NBCU Academy to design training modules that help grow and develop best in class on-air teams. This person would also partner closely with editorial and talent leadership to ensure our on-air teams continue get feedback, career pathing discussions and learning opportunities to deliver the highest standards of journalism. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the day-to-day management of the On-Air Talent Development. Design, plan, and maintain an annual curriculum of Master Class modules, including script writing, live shot performance, studio delivery, reporting craft and digital writing. Parlay into NBCU Academy platform with Academy team. Build a partnership with our local owned and operated stations to find consistent approaches to on-air talent development. Partner with News Group leadership to ensure learning opportunities and training align with editorial priorities and newsroom standards. Co-create training content, resources, and development tools for talent of all levels and experience in collaboration with NBCU Academy. Organize targeted coaching, including writing mentors, voice training and live-shot simulations. Collaborate with editorial (on air and digital) teams, bureau and show producers, Human Resources, standards & practices. Build strong relationships with newsroom leaders across platforms.
