Job Description This role sits within the Digital Distribution Controllership function, based in Universal City, CA. Digital Distribution is a rapidly evolving and growing segment of Universal’s Home Entertainment business unit, which generates approximately $1 billion in annual revenue. The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting with the key domestic digital distribution month and quarter close and financial reporting processes. This position reports to the Manager, Controllership, supports the VP, Global Controller and the Director, Global Controllership, and works closely with the FP&A, Global Distribution, Studio HQ, and Global Finance Operations teams. Responsibilities Supporting the Controllership team with monthly and quarterly closing processes, preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate data requests. This includes working closely with Digital FP&A, Global Distribution, Global Finance Operations, and our Domestic Digital operational teams. Analyze movements in key balance sheet areas including preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet review packages. Maintain monthly close checklists and calendars to ensure close items are completed timely Work with both internal and external teams to reconcile, track, and research discrepancies in monthly royalty reporting from our distributors, following up on variances and open items as required The responsibilities associated with this position are not limited to the above description and may be modified at any time by the company.
