Sr Business Systems Analyst

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be a member of NBCUniversal’s Video Platform Software Engineering organization, concentrating on Ad Sales technology. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring our Ad Sales business can perform their day-to-day activities utilizing our integrated systems. This role provides front-end user support, back-end monitoring and troubleshooting for a variety of systems which assist with functions such as sales, planning, pricing, campaign management, traffic/operations, creative, promotions, ad serving, delivery and billing. RESPONSIBILITIES Take ownership of all types of tickets from a queue to analyze and follow up on requests while meeting established SLA’s. Work in a team setting with counterparts on solving issues at hand but also able to work solely while providing updates to stakeholders throughout the process. Understand how issues impact the business and escalate critical issues when necessary. Document and follow standard operating procedures for production troubleshooting and incident management. Leverage AI tools to aid in issue resolution and documentation. Understand system design to be able to guide others on complex business logic and troubleshoot calculation, integration, and backend data issues. Identify and manage defects and work with vendors and engineering teams to resolve and implement solutions. Collaborate with varying teams to understand system functionality and architecture to solve issues, document in a knowledge base and gain an overall better understanding. Analyze process and system issues and suggest areas for improvement and solutions, such as automation opportunities. Determine alerts monitors and logging needed to identify problems before they occur help troubleshoot and prevent issues. Works occasional evenings during special events. Rotating weekend on call shifts for urgent issues and provide backup coverage as needed.
