Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant reports to the Senior Manager of Accounting. This role will be responsible for assisting with accounting aspects of the business, and requires understanding of accounting and the ability to partner with the NBC News organization, as well as NBCUniversal’s various business units. Responsibilities Coordination and/or preparation of monthly/quarterly close deliverables Maintain and complete assigned Blackline account reconciliations, ensuring timely certification, proper backup, and resolution of reconciling items Prepare monthly journal entries to properly record accounting transactions, ensuring that journal entries have proper backup to substantiate the entry Assist controllership function and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls Research ways of streamlining and standardizing processes within designated area of responsibility Assist with adhoc requests and deliverables
