Director, MLB Operations - NBC Sports

As the Director of MLB Operations, you will oversee all operational aspects of NBC Sports’ Major League Baseball coverage and act as a key liaison between Remote Operations, Production teams, and league representatives. While the primary focus will be MLB, you may also support other NBC Sports properties during the MLB off-season or as business needs arise. You will be responsible for managing logistics, budgets, and personnel to ensure the seamless execution of live events and will report to the Vice President of MLB Production Operations. Responsibilities Act as an effective communication conduit between Remote Operations Management, Production teams, and League contacts Lead and manage a team of Production Managers supporting MLB Partner with stadium, arena, and tournament personnel regarding mobile unit arrival, scheduling, and on-site requirements Oversee all event logistics, including credentials, compound set-up, security, catering, transportation, and travel adjustments Manage crew hour reporting, oversee hiring, and collaborate with Payroll, HR, and Finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing Collaborate closely with Production, Talent, and Technical Managers to support show needs Manage multiple budgets in collaboration with the show’s Producer and Finance team, ensuring all expenses are accurately tracked and invoices are paid on time Oversee hotel block bookings Manage crew schedules and provide support for production and talent needs Travel to remote MLB event locations as needed
