Academic Year Internship Program Details Program Dates: September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027 Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Denver, Connecticut, and London. Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: Decision Sciences, Consumer Insights: The Consumer Insights Team supplies insights in support of strategic objectives for Peacock, NBC, and Bravo, to stakeholders across the organization including the Content Strategy, Growth & Marketing teams. As an intern on our team, you will be exposed to a variety of quantitative and qualitative primary research methodologies and gain experience in analyzing the output to provide actionable insights for the business. Decision Sciences, Entertainment Content Analytics: The Content Analytics Entertainment Research team acts as the main source of data and insights on all things Entertainment, for NBC and Bravo on Linear TV and Peacock, providing program performance tracking, audience demographics, forecasting, business and brand strategy, portfolio optimization, and all forms of research-based guidance. The team works closely with many groups across the business including marketing, programming, production, finance, and ad sales. Additionally, NBC Universal Syndication Studios produces and distributes such shows as Access Hollywood and The Kelly Clarkson Show. The Content Analytics team provides producers and executives with performance ratings on both linear and streaming. The team also works closely with NBC-affiliated stations across the country providing insights on NBC programming in local markets. An intern supporting our group will be an integral part of how we report performance data for all our programs to our key stakeholders and will utilize multiple data management and analytics tools in their day-to-day. The internship will offer in-depth training on TV ratings and audience research, including involvement in various cross-platform projects, and ownership over various weekly and daily reporting. Decision Sciences, Product Experimentation - Advanced Analytics: The primary focus of this role is to champion the intelligent use of data to inform strategic decision making. As part of the Peacock team, you will focus on the intelligent use of data to perform analysis and provide actionable insights. You will be part of the Retention and Engagement analytics team, working on retention insights, customer segmentation, and identifying churn trends, to help fuel healthy customer growth. You will be joining a highly collaborate team that partners with business stakeholders throughout Peacock. O&T, Media Ops Content Dist: The team supports the Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Legal functions within Platform Distribution & Partnerships (PDP), which oversees the distribution of NBCUniversal’s television and film content across MVPDs, wireless devices, emerging platforms (including dMVPDs and OTT services), and commercial distributors such as hotels and airlines across North America, the Caribbean, and Canada. As a key revenue driver, Content Distribution generates approximately $5 billion annually. In this role, the intern will support Project Certus, an initiative to replace the Financial Sub-Ledger System and enhance downstream BI analytics and reporting. The intern will focus on the BI Analytics workstream, partnering with business stakeholders to scope reporting needs, define product requirements, and collaborate with the Data and Analytics team on execution.
