Contracts Specialist, UTEG

Role Purpose: NBCUniversal is seeking a Contracts Specialist to join the legal team that supports all aspects of content production and acquisition for NBCU's television and streaming services, including Peacock and the broadcast/cable entertainment networks. Working closely with the attorneys and administrative staff, the Contracts Specialist will provide support and assistance to the group’s legal counsel on a wide range of matters relating to the drafting, negotiation and oversight of production services, license and indemnity agreements, insurance, talent contracts, and production policies. Successful candidates will be attentive and detail oriented and possess strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Job Responsibilities: Independently draft and review various form agreements and correspondence, for a range of contractual matters and clients Research, draft, and prepare memorandum and summaries on various contractual and legal provisions, rights and intellectual property matters Partner with business executives and colleagues on cross-functional teams to act as a resource to others in the company, on matters relating to the division Identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and collaboration within the division’s business and legal affairs teams Develop policies, procedures, and best practices across the divisions Implement improvements to forms and processes
